Easter Celebration

My Dream Church.

This year we decided to replace our Easter Celebration with a Pessah Celebration. We advertised a full reenactment of the last supper. Complete with a Passover meal, roasted lamb, low table (better to incline on). Jews for Jesus lead us through a traditional reading of scriptures remembering the delivery from Egypt and looking forward to the Messiah's coming.

The references to Jesus' coming are amazingly accurate images - truly prophetical. It is no wonder Jesus chose this feast to reveal himself, institute new remembrance traditions (the bread and the cup were already there, but foot-washing was new), as he would springboard into the ultimate sacrifice. Powerful.

Bible Table Mania!

“I saw the table full of Bibles in front of my university and I was floored! It was like a kick in the pants. This should be me!” - David

Several Parisian university students were so encouraged to see young people like themselves doing something so simple as passing out free Bibles that they asked to participate. So we are planning a new initiative next school year, that will be mobilizing Parisian university students to volunteer at the Bible tables each week. What a Blessing!
There goes the last one ...

Christian Music Website

Imagine a website entirely French whose sole purpose is to promote Christian music.

Some Christian friends gathered together this weekend to create an association that will write, translate, organize, and publish this young website. The site itself has existed for over a year now, it is gaining momentum and growing leaps and bounds. Please pray for the international impact a site like this might have, pray that the site would encourage and edify Christians as well as attract Non-Churched young adults to the life-changing message of the Gospel.

Grace College alumni from 1999-00 might recognize a second Grace alum in these photos! What a fun hobby. Look at how much fun this group is having organizing the site and planning concerts for 2009!

My Neighborhood

The Butcher.
We always surprise him with our French-American Cuisine. Sometimes he's like "Wow, you're making a true French dish. That's impressive!" And other times he's like, "You want to make what?!?" Breakfast sausage really sent him for a loop. :) But boy was it a yummy addition to our Saturday morning brunch prayer meeting!
Our delicatessen says hello and smiles at us each time we pass by. Seeing his big grin always puts me in a good mood.
